    A day after clinching a playoff spot, the New York Yankees turned to their young arms in pursuit of a division crown. Joba Chamberlain pitched on consecutive days for the first time, helping fellow rookie Phil Hughes beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 3-1 on Thursday night to keep alive New York’s slim hopes in the AL East.
