Last season, Jason Kubel tried to play through the pain. The year before that, he couldn’t play at all. This spring? He just wants to remind the Minnesota Twins what he can do when his knees are healthy. If he shows them enough, there’s a place in the everyday lineup for Kubel as the primary designated hitter.
